ƒ€ƒbƒN will be releasing their 8th full length album, ‹…‘Ì (‘kyuutai’ but listed as Sphere on their English site), this March in Japan. ‹…‘Ì will come in three flavors, vanilla, and two limited versions coupling with a DVD of a documentary or live footage of the Irving Plaza, New York live on Dec 7th 2008. No word yet on international versions at this time.

Japanese Rock Music Festival Announced, creates new word 'Jrock' (djrach?)

So the J Rock (that’s how I roll) communities worst kept secret is out. The music festival that was supposed to happen is now happening. Kind a late to the game with the news so those with summer plans may need to adjust to squeeze some Japanese Rock into their hot days. Lots of returning bands here (MUCC, D’espairsRay, Miyavi, and DuelJewel) and some long awaited bands (Vidoll, Merry, Kagrra,) are on the roster.

Yoshiki and 4 Fini Surge Forward with Multi-Artist Festival, May 25-26

SANTA MONICA, CA Created by Japanese rock superstar Yoshiki of X JAPAN, Jrock Revolution, the first multi-artist music festival in North America to exclusively showcase Japanese rock music (jrock for short) straight from Japan, launches May 25 at the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles.

Boasting a variety of artists, some of which have already performed and released albums in Europe, the U.S., and Japan, Jrock Revolution answers the wishes of curious music lovers and tens of thousands of jrock fans alike. The festival is scheduled to run May 25-26 and will feature alice nine., Vidoll, DuelJewel, Kagrra, Miyavi, D’espairsRay, Merry, girugamesh, and MUCC.
